we have been trying to get Addison to take a bottle, and she does okay with me, but will not take one from brock for anything. this is the first time she took a bottle from daddy with only a little struggle!

Addison's new thing is making bubbles with her spit. she drools all over the place.

where does time go?

so, addison is already 7 1/2 weeks old, and growing like a weed. Seriously! we knew she was going to be a chunk, cause both brock and i were, but i didn't think she would be so big already. i am not sure how much she weighs, but we did put her on the scale with me and according to our scale, she weighs about 12 or 13 pounds already. she doesn't go to the doctor until the 3rd of august, so i am anxious to see how much she really weighs. in the last couple of weeks, she has found her hands to be great sucking toys, and is constantly got them in her mouth. she tries to shove the whole fist in and ends up gagging herself. in the last week, she has learned how to make bubbles with her drool, so she is always slobbery. she has also found her tongue, so when she smiles at you, she has to stick her tongue out too. she will even copy me and brock when we stick out our tongues. a week ago from yesterday, we were sitting in church, and addison started pooping, but we were singing, so it covered up the loud noise, until we ended the song and the pastor started praying......addison let out a HUGE fart, and these little kids in front of us turned around and stared at me, so i know that everyone heard. HOW EMBARRASING!!!!!! anyway, it was pretty funny. she is such a joy to watch everyday as she discovers new things. i cannot wait for all the things that are to come. she is such a blessing. brock is such a great daddy- i love to watch him with addison. i hope you are all enjoying the pictures of our little girl. there will be tons more as we can't help taking them.

Starting a New chapter in our lives

Well, I have accepted the job in Billings, and I start September 10th. that seems like a while off yet, but not really when there are 100 things you have to do between now and then. I am very excited and yet nervous about having a "real" job and wondering if I will do a good job, and also not too sure about leaving Addison with a stranger while I am at work. I have a job, which is great, but we don't have a place to live yet. I haven't taken my licensure exam yet, which needs to be taken and passed before I can start work. We have a house to pack and a million other things which all seem impossible to accomplish in the short amount of time we have. So, needless to say, if we get everything done in time, it will be a miracle! :) I believe that this is a true test of my ability to trust God and trust that He will take care of everything. He has taken care of us thus far and I know that He does a much better job than I could ever do, but sometimes it seems so impossible for things to get done and all I do is stress and worry, when I really need to lay it all down at the Lord's feet and let Him be in control. I am learning that I continually have to lay things at His feet, because I try to do things on my own, and just get all worked up about things. So, we are going to be a lot closer to home in a few short months, and we can't wait. On a much lighter note, we are doing good. Addison is growing bigger everyday. She loves making noises....we like to talk to each other. We are starting to see a little bit more of her personality. I believe she is going to be very strong-willed....I have no idea where she gets that from. :) ( me of course). she is such a joy, and even when things seem to be stressful, all I have to do is look at my little angel ,and I can't help but smile and be so overjoyed with this little miracle I have been blessed with!
