our summer

so as you can see by the many photos below, we have been very busy (either that or i am just a slacker at keeping things posted). this summer has just flown by, I am not sure where all the time has gone. we would have loved to do more than we actually did, but there never seemed to be time. we are both still busy with work. brock has been doing side projects as well, the biggest has been my sister's wedding. he was the photographer and did an amazing job, and because he is a perfectionist, he is still not finished working on her photos....he has spent countless late nights making them all look awesome! Addison is growing like a weed, and she is not a baby anymore she is a "BIG Girl". she is miss independent and soaks everything in. we have a few videos that i will try to post one of these days. she can count to 13 (that is the number of stairs we have to the basement). she knows her ABCs and her colors are coming along. she loves to read books and help mommy in the kitchen. we are still working on potty training...that is not going so well. she just doesn't really care. she will go on the toilet every once in a while, but only by accident. she loves to sit on the toilet and "try" to go to the bathroom to get a piece of candy, but doesn't actually go. everytime she sees a baby, she tells me that she is going to have a baby sister on saturday...not sure where that came from. maybe someday. she loves wearing pretty dresses and would wear them all day everyday if we let her. she is such a blessing to us and just looking at her makes me smile. well, that is enough about out little kiddo for now. i hope you all enjoy the photos.

Yellowstone Park

We made a quick weekend trip to Yellowstone National Park with my little sister, Nichole and had such a good time. we could have stayed there for a week and still not seen everything we would have liked to. here are a few shots of what we did see.

The Fair

We took Addi to the fair for the first time....and she absolutely LOVED it. she wasn't too thrilled with the animals..she liked them from afar, but she wanted to go on the rides over and over again. she said her favorite ride was the REALLY BIG SLIDE! gramma was up visiting so she got to come along too.

we went home to glendive over memorial day weekend, and got to spend some time with family. we watched melissa compete at her divisionals track meet, or as addi calls it "watch lissie runnin' and jumpin'". and also michael graduated from high school

Busyness of life

First i must apologize for all of you whom check daily for updates to our blog.....you have probably given up on me long ago. But, here are SEVERAL new photos, so i am hoping you all forgive my laziness in updating. so much time has past since i last posted, i am not even sure what to say. we gave up on the potty training thing for a while. addison was interested and did great for a few weeks, and then....not so much!!!! we changed addison's crib into a BIG GIRL bed, and she has yet to sleep in it. she would rather sleep on the floor on a pile of her blankets and wake mommy up several times throughout the night to come and join her. AUGH!!!!!!! needless to say, mommy is wondering if this big girl bed was a good idea. addi no longer has her "paci" (pacifier). she gave them to baby avery, because she is a big girl now, and she likes to tell me that all the time. "I A BIG GIRL" with each and every word drawn out and emphasized. she is talking up a storm and loves being outside. she is putting sentences together, and my favorite line she says lately is "what you doing guys?" she loves watching "carntoons". she moved up to the infants room at daycare and now she is with a little bigger kids, so she is picking up on new things constantly. we have been preparing the yard for a fence and sod, and so have been outside on the nice days picking rocks. addi has her own little bucket and shovel and loves helping. we are enjoying being in our new house and can't wait until we have a yard for addi to play in instead of dirt. work is going good for both brock and i. brock is loving his new job and staying busy with other projects as well. we stayed here for easter, and had a great time, just the 3 of us. addi loved searching for eggs and dyeing them. well, i think that is all for now. this mommy needs some sleep before she gets woken up by little miss addi. hope you all aren't too mad at me for taking so long to post some new pics.

Divisionals Basketball

my parents and brocks parents came to stay with us during basketball divisionals, and we had a great time. addison loved going to the ball games. and paapa and grammy even took addison to chucky cheese and she LOVED that

so, i have been given a hard time for not posting any pictures in over a month....sorry!!! hope these will do for now. we do have a couple of videos we would like to post, but that will be another day. i can only be on here for so long.
well, our big news is that addi is starting potty training. for a few weeks now, addison has been telling us "potty" and "poopy", but by the time she tells us, she has already gone, but about two weeks ago, addison started telling us before she went, but when we would sit her on the potty chair, she wouldn't do anything. so last monday, i was sitting on the couch, and addison says "poopy", and i checked her diaper, and she hadn't gone, so i went and set her on the potty chair, and she WENT POOPY!!!! sorry for those of you who don't have children and aren't as excited as we are! so all week long we have been attempting the feat of potty training. it is still pretty hit or miss. she tells us sometimes and she doesn't tell us other times, but i guess it is a start.
other news.....brock is loving his new job, just finished making my sister's wedding announcements and is getting excited about taking her pictures in june. i am still at the hospital and staying busy.
we are loving our house, and are attempting to do the finishing touchups on the trim. not a very exciting project, but needed none the less.
i hope everyone is having a great year. God has been ever faithful to us and has blessed us with a great group of friends here. we are enjoying being closer to family and spending more time with them.

so the girls in our bible study decided to have a theme bowling party. we all had to dress up like we were 9 months pregnant. so here are a few shots of the afternoon

so, there is an explaination for these faces....brock bought some gross jelly bellys, flavors like vomit, rottin egg, and moldy cheese, except they all came in a box with two flavors the same color, so you didn't really know if you were getting a good flavor or a disgusting flavor. unfortanately, we all got the gross ones.
